Ningaloo Reef

Today we got up at 7:00 and got ready to go on a whole day cruise on the Ningaloo Reef. The tour involved snorkeling, Hump-Back Whales lauching them self out of the water and making a huge splash! We also saw turtles, bull rays (look it up) and other colourful fish of all sizes and descriptions.
We have purchased a CD and DVD which you can view if you come to our house after this holiday.
Amity being the mermaid at the front of the ship.
Mum said because this tour was $900, we had to eat as much food as possible!
On the CD we are getting, there is a FANTASTIC picture of me swimming with a green sea turtle!
Missing everyone lots and hope that Grandma didn't have any trouble with mowing our lawn!

Long Time No Blog!

Well its been a while since my last post and here is my reason......SLOW INTERNET!!!!!!!!!!!
It took 1 minute to load GOOGLE!!!
Anyway, since my last post we have rode camels in Broome,
Went to Beagle Bay, Middle Lagoon and Cape Leveque,
Beagle Bay Church where nearly everything is made of shells,
And these two pictures are of the wonderful sunset of Middle Lagoon and Amity holding a mother of pearl shell,
After that we camped at Barnhill Station where Amity was sick and Cooper and Dad Had to drive the 130 Km back to Broome to the hospital!
Then We camped at a road side camp,
Me LOVING not having to buy an actual book!
Dad just like the Pope and washing our feet!
Then we went to Karijini National Park
This is the amazing Fern Pool,
When me and Dad Had to climb some rock, Dad had the SMART idea to put your boots down your top!
And this is what some people do when the can't spider climb!
Now we are in Tom Price and are enjoying the peacefulness and no spinifex!
Hope everyone is ok back at home and that you all are happy and healthy!

Broome

Well here in Broome its nice and relaxing......well it would be relaxing if you didn't have the caravan beside you 2 metres away! Yes here at the Cable Beach Caravan park our fellow travelers can pretty much here us breath!
Anyway when we did that other scenic flight, i guess mum wasn't scared enough because guess what, we got up at 5:05 AGAIN and went on a 1 hour flight to the Horizontal Falls!
(Again  would like to put up photos but i cant so just imagine me and the girls laughing our heads off and mum screaming!)
But the have the best cooks in town,I had 1 bowl of cereal, 2 cups of juice and a bacon and egg roll!
The Horizontal falls are really amazing and i recommend it to anyone.
The Horizontal Falls are made by two lagoons how have very small openings out to the ocean. As the the tide goes out to the ocean, the water is trapped in these lakes and must get out through the small openings, causing rapids at these two openings. The lake water level is higher, by about 1.5 metres then the sea level at this time.
Our friends the Riddells are doing the 11:30 one, but we did the 5:30 one.
Missing everyone lots and can't wait to get back (well actually i could but......)

The Surprise (Dramatic Music!!!!!!!!!!)

Imagine your parents had told you to get up at 5 so everyone can hope on a bus.Where to? you might ask to your parents, now here comes the scary part.....(Jaws Music).......THEY DON'T ANSWER!
Doesn't that make you think your going to boarding school!
Anyway we did what mum said and we turned up at the front gate and met a elderly couple.
The lady said '' Are you going on the scenic flight too?'' LOOK WHO LET THE CAT OF THE BAG!!!!!!
Instantly i said ''What scenic flight?'' And that is how we found out we might die today...... obviously we didn't or i wouldn't be typing right now, but god i got windy!
As we took off we hit turbulence and mum griped my leg with her sharp nails and wouldn't let go!
On this scenic flight we went over Argyle Lake (and told us everything we learnt the day before on the cruise.)
We also went over the Bungle Bungles and the Argyle diamond mine which i'm sure all the lady's out there already know this but it is the only place in the world that finds pink diamonds.
Here are some photos.

Would you trust this plane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Really enjoyed this flight and hope people have $1350 dollars!!!!!
After that we went to El Questro and went to some hot springs and went to Emma Gorge!
Here is a photo of me, Lucas, Elissa and dad just finding out how cold it really is!

Anyway really miss everyone and hope people are having fun going to work and going to school!

Lake Argyle

Going to try to do a video post right..........NOW!
(we will be as quick as possible or it wont upload)
ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It wont work!
Anyway we went to Lake Argyle and it was really BIG!
And when i say BIG i mean really BIG!
Here are some photos.

That dam wall is 300 metres high and 300 metres wide at its base, it also has a clay core with small and large boulders protecting it! Its made like this because of the earthquake activity around this area. This is the outlet side of the dam. On the other side you can only see a quarter of the dam and the inland sea (lake Argyle) is at 93% capacity. Due to evaporation the lake loses 2.5 metres of water a year and the irrigation only uses 1 metre a year! (yes dad told me to say this... and now he hit me!)

I only trust that last really awesome person!
Really enjoyed it and was a great thing to do.
After that we went to the old Durack Homestead and that was really good too.
Missing everyone lots and hope everyone is ok.
